Churches marked with an (*) are definitely wheelchair accessible – I am currently investigating the others listed above. If your church is accessible, please could you let me know? Thank you.

A useful Calender of Church events has been supplied by Gill Carter. Please click on link http://www.christiancalendar.org.je/ for further information.

Gill has sent some additional helpful information:

Most Christian churches in Jersey are very accessible to disabled people but may have steps before you can get to the altar if you want to take communion. However all churches will arrange for the priest to bring communion to you if you speak to whoever is on the door when you come in!

Can I recommend:

The Parish Church of St.Helier, also known as the Town Church, has a service of Holy Communion on a Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the St.Helier Chapel. There are no steps needed to get to the front of this Chapel and many of us who attend this service have to use a stick to walk.

The first Tuesday of each month this service is followed by a simple bread and soup lunch in the entrance to the church. A donation of £3 is requested to pay for this lunch. All are very welcome!

There are also two disabled parking spaces in the Town Church grounds, available to those attending services.
